Score 91/100 · Drink 2025-2039, Neal Martin, Oct 2025

The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Tête du Clos 1er Cru takes time to open on the nose, revealing mainly yellow fruit, crushed stone and light clementine notes that become spicier with aeration. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, a little honeyed possibly due to some botrytised fruit towards the finish, but it carries it off with style. Very fine. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
