Tasting notes
Score 93/100 · Drink 2024-2037, Erin Larkin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2024

The 2022 Pinot Noir leads with red cherry and strawberry, loquat and licorice, dried herbs and sea salt. It is fine and detailed and very pretty. Texturally, the wine is silky and leaves a trail of red apple skins, pomegranate molasses (tending toward burnt brown sugar) and sage through the finish. It is lingering and fine and very attractive. Matured for 10 months in French oak barriques (30% new). 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Crunchy, mid-weighted pinot noir, bearing the quintessential Yarra notes of sarsaparilla, sappy red cherry, crushed musk and clove, likely derived from a judicious whole bunch quotient. Lots of sweet fruit. Easy to drink, if not a bit prosaic. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
