A powerful, layered vintage with a deep color, full-bodied, ripe with fresh currants, small black and red fruits, and hints of floral notes adding complexity. Ageing 12 months in stainless steel vats, no oak.

The 2022 Château Cap De Faugères is charming, forward, and delicious, offering red and black fruits, spice, and a touch of graphite. Medium-bodied, it has obvious minerality and a beautifully balanced, approachable style. I like it today yet this outstanding Castillon will keep for 10-12 years with ease.

The 2022 Cap de Faugères has a sprightly, quite opulent bouquet with black cherries, blueberry and violet scents, cohering nicely in the glass with its well-integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied and lightly spiced with sapid black fruit, fine delineation and a lovely saline finish. This is recommended.

Bright and vivid fruit with red berries, flowers and crushed stone. Medium body, fine tannins and a juicy finish. Salty at the end. Crunchy. 85% merlot, 10% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon. So drinkable now, but will age nicely.
