Orange-gold. Brawny, almost beery nose and then it smells like sherbet. Not very noble or classical. Prune juice! Not refreshing. (JR)

The 2018 Bastor-Lamontagne has a simple, expressive bouquet of clementine and apricot aromas, mixed with white peach and nectarine. The palate is rather cloyingly sweet on the entry, and very saccharine and one-dimensional on the finish.

The 2018 Bastor-Lamontagne turned out beautifully. Orange marmalade, apricot jam, burnt sugar, ginger and charred pineapple give the 2018 quite a bit of nuance. In 2018 Bastor-Lamontagne has a bit more weight than is typical, but it retains that airy grace that is one of its signatures. This is a terrific showing.
