Score 86/100 · Drink 2006-2012, Robert Parker, Apr 2006

The spicy, soft, superficial, pleasant 2003 exhibits a dark ruby color, medium body, but little weight and depth. Consume it over the next 5-6 years.

Healthy ruby. Meaty, quite pretty, though ultimately simple nose. Very round and easy with just a hint of rusty nails on the finish. Slightly gawky. (JR)

Mid crimson with a little evolution at the rim. Lively, very fruity nose. Quite fresh an appetising on the nose. Round and ripe and 'pleasant' though it's difficult to see what will keep this wine going for decades. Light touch of dry tannins on the finish. A well balanced drink for the short to medium term.
