Tasting notes
Score 90/100 · Drink 2023-2033, Neal Martin, Mar 2021

The 2018 La Fleur Saint Georges offers sweet raspberry, wild strawberry, orange peel and marmalade aromas, heady but very appealing. The palate has rounded and quite grippy tannins that frame layers of licorice-infused black fruit. Bold and brassy, with a touch of white pepper lingering on the finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.

The 2018 La Fleur Saint Georges is a pleasant, easygoing wine to drink now and over the next few years. Bright red cherry fruit and floral notes add the wine's immediacy and overall appeal.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 La Fleur Saint Georges bursts from the glass with baked plums, blackberry preserves and chocolate-covered cherries scents with hints of espresso, sautéed herbs and tree bark. Full-bodied, rich and juicy, the palate is well textured with soft tannins and has a refreshing lift on the finish.
