Currants, orange rind, tobacco leaf and herbs are easy to spot in the nose, and on the palate of this forward, medium-bodied, bright, chewy, firm, savory-edged wine. Drink from 2026-2037.

Smoky red and black fruits, leather, and a touch of background oak all emerge from the 2023 Château Mayne Lalande, a nicely concentrated, medium-bodied Listrac with solid mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and a good finish. It's quite good, if not outstanding.

A medium-bodied, juicy red with fine tannins and a linear finish. Slightly light at the end but very polished and sleek.

The 2023 Mayne Lalande shows very primary en primeur, as the wine has not yet been barreled down. There's good intensity to the dark-fleshed fruit, but this is very clearly an embryonic wine. Even so, there's potential.
