Score 93/100 · Drink 2016-2026, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Jul 2016

The Franz Haas 2013 Alto Adige Pinot Nero Schweizer exhibits an enormous level of elegance and grace. It is aged in oak for 15 months. The wine sings in strong voice, but delivers an unforgettable melody. Delicate tones of dried raspberry, fresh mountain violets and candied almond come to attention. The focus and sharpness of those aromas are particularly well managed in this classic vintage. The mouthfeel is supple and silky.
