The 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Pertuisots is especially exuberant and fruit driven this year, bursting with aromas of cherries and strawberries. Medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's pure and lively, concluding with a long, expansive finish.

The 2020 Beaune Pertuisots 1er Cru, containing 25% whole bunch, has a crisp bouquet, scents of blackberry and wet limestone, the mineralité coming through nicely with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet core of fruit. It has the highest alcohol (14.8°) but with the lowest pH (3.35), so you hardly feel any warmth (that’s natural by the way.) Perhaps it does not quite have the peacock’s tail on the finish like other cuvées, but this is still very fine.
