Score 85/100 · Drink 2016-2017, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, May 2016

Tasted at the château, the 2006 Teyssier has a slightly flat bouquet after ten years; it does not really spring from the glass, though Jonathan Maltus never built this Cru for long-term cellaring. The palate is smooth on the entry, but it feels smudged and lacks fruit after that, stumbling over the finish line and yelling - why didn't you drink me five or six years ago? Tasted March 2016.

Quite a fresh nose, though still with the strange oak notes of several wines in the Maltus stable this year. Dry finish but confident constitution. Quite racy and with very fine tannins on the finish. (JR)

Good red-ruby. Black cherry, smoked meat and licorice on the slightly roasted nose. Sweet and fruit-driven, with a dominant flavor of cherry. Finishes with firm tannic structure.
