2018 St Aubin Blanc Les Combes

The 2018 Saint-Aubin Les Combes 1er Cru, raised in 25% new oak with a majority now matured using larger 500-liter barrels, has a much sharper bouquet than the La Charmois and is showing more mineralité at this stage of its élevage. The palate is very well balanced, with a lively, lightly spiced opening and touches of ginger complementing the citrus fruit, then more depth and a slight viscosity toward the finish. There is good persistence here, completing a fine Saint-Aubin.
