Score 83/100 · Drink 1984, Robert Parker, Jan 1998

The lightest and most elegant of the three good vintages of the early eighties, Larmande's 1981 has medium ruby color, a ripe, moderately intense, plummy, slightly herbaceous bouquet, medium body, good concentration, and a fine crisp, clean finish. Anticipated maturity: Now-may be in decline. Last tasted, 6/84.
