Tasted alongside the Muganazzi and pouring a shade deeper hue but still pale yellow-straw color, the 2022 Etna Bianco Acuria offers lovely aromatic complexity, with pear, melon rind, fresh citrus, fennel, lemon/lime blossoms, and fresh rosemary. Medium-bodied, it has more intensity and saltiness that’s saturating and crystalline, with a snappy texture and a lasting finish. It’s only going to improve, and I think it’s going to lean into more Riesling-like qualities as it ages. Drink 2025-2040.

Pungently floral, the 2022 Etna Bianco Munganazzi opens with a burst of wild herbs and crushed green apples complicated by hints of wet stone. It's soothingly round and supple with crisp orchard fruits and juicy acidity, all balanced by a core of salty minerals and spice. The finish is crunchy and long, with a lemony reverberation that lingers on and on. The Munganazzi hails from vines planted just ten years ago, but it has a depth and concentration that I find wildly compelling.
Made with 85% Carricante and 15% Catarratto, the Graci 2022 Etna Bianco has a distinct mineral note that adds extra sharpness and brightness. Over the years, the percentage of Carricante has increased in the blend. This grape's salty-mineral profile takes center stage. Showing a very light golden color, the wine drinks beautifully right now.
