The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Vers Cras 1er Cru comes from 3.5 hectares of vines surrounding the winery on limestone soils. Struck flint comes through nicely on the nose, very focused and full of energy. The palate is very well balanced with harmonious citrus fruit infused with flint and white pepper notes. Impressive weight and extract on the finish, this is turning into a delightful Pouilly-Fuissé.

The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Vers Cras 1er Cru demonstrated just a very slight reduction on the nose, but it is very well defined and focused. The palate is beautifully balanced, very harmonious with a silky smooth texture, a fine bead of acidity and impressive purity towards the finish. I cannot wait to revisit this once in bottle - superb.
