Score 91/100 · Drink 2018-2031, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, May 2023

From a half-bottle closed with Diam (several years before Lamy adopted this closure wholesale), the 2011 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes is drinking beautifully, offering up aromas of lemon oil, bee pollen, pastry cream and verbena, followed by a medium-bodied, satiny palate with racy acids and a cool, pure profile.

Lemon, white flowers and mint jump from the glass in the 2011 St. Aubin Les Frionnes. A wine of pure texture, the Frionnes impresses for its balance. The 2011 is sublime, layered and beautifully expressive. Bright saline notes give the 2011 lovely freshness to balance some of the wine's more overt qualities.

Lightly floral nose. Broad and friendly fruit. Feet on the ground but very solid and satisfying. Quite long. (JR)
