The Sancerre is a 100% whole bunch Pinot Noir, which seems a bit bonkers in a challenging year like 2021. It's firm and crunchy and spins on its aromatics, which are lifted with herbal aromas like fennel, cola and some savory, lightly spiced oak notes. The finish is a little pinched, with some stemmy tannins gripping the side of the palate, combining with natural acidity to provide a firm finish.

A well-judged, delicate and unforced 2021 Sancerre Blanc, this is done in a very fresh, classic style that is light on its feet yet has a sense of tenderness in the mouth. Attractively aromatic offering both pure and pretty elderflower characters, fresh apples and pineapple. The wine skips along with its bright yet balanced acidity.
