Fresher, more nuanced nose offers pear, peach, flowers and white truffle. Sweet, intensely flavored and generous in the mouth, with expressive flavors of peach and nectarine. This does not have the sheer grip for extended aging but boasts lovely balance and avoids the rough edge of the Champs-Gain. Finishes with lingering yellow fruit flavors.

(tasted from a tank) Ripe aromas and flavors of yellow peach and honey. Sweet, fat and thick, with a glyceral mouth feel and an impression of low acidity. Round and persistent but a bit heavy. (The Chassagne-Montrachet Maltroie was still in the middle of its malolactic fermentation.)
