The 2018 Moulin Haut-Laroque still has its high-toned, slightly monochrome bouquet of cassis and blueberry fruit. The palate is balanced with a menthol-tinged entry, sweet and candied but lacking a bit of personality on the finish. Par for the course.

The 2018 Château Moulin Haut-Laroque showed beautifully and is well worth seeking out. Loads of cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as licorice, toasted spices, and truffle notes emerge from the glass, and it's medium-bodied, with a ripe, layered texture and impressive tannins. It's going to drink nicely for 10-12 years, and there's no real reason to hold off either.

The 2018 Moulin Haut-Laroque is gorgeous. Succulent dark cherry, plum, chocolate, spice, new leather and licorice all meld together in the glass. The forward, juicy style is immensely appealing. This is so well done.
