95% Verdejo, 5% others. Spontaneous fermentation. Aged nine months in French oak of varying ages and sizes. Extremely complex, sophisticated nose. Mouth-filling and creamy. You could confuse this with an absolutely tip-top white bordeaux, but perhaps this is better! Like fermented lemon drops. Really gorgeous flavours and texture. Utterly compelling. (JR)

The spicy 2022 Belondrade y Lurton was cropped from a warm and dry year when they had to harvest quite early. The nose shows no signs of excess ripeness; it feeels quite fresh and harmonious. It's elegant, surprisingly restrained, clean and with integrated oak, contained ripeness and 14% alcohol on the label. It's tasty and harmonious, finishing dry with a clean, long and chalky finish. It was bottled in July 2023.
