The 2021 Riesling leads with a toasty nose of marmalade and cold buttered toast, while the palate is sweet and phenolic, with a splay of bitter almond, marzipan, lemon juice and crushed shells. It is opulent and rich in its way. The toasty note is quite pronounced, which impacts the aftertaste as well—some may love this, but I wish it was more restrained. 12.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Greywacke's juicy 2021 Riesling flows across the palate with ease – it is a suave, well-handled wine. Off-dry in character, the delicate sweetness is counterbalanced by bright acidity that courses through the wine's core while well-handled phenolics bring additional drive and structure. Fine apple and floral characters linger on the attractive finish.
