Healthy dark red. Musky, slightly reduced aromas of redcurrant, plum, tobacco and spicecake. Suave, silky and fine-grained, with moderately deep flavors similar to the aromas. There's a touch of earthy reduction throughout but also lovely texture, restrained sweetness and fresh balancing acidity. Finishes with subtle sweetness and noteworthy length but showed a slightly dusty aspect as it took on air.
