Medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Pinot Noir opens with aromas of warm black plum, black cherries and blackberries with notes of dried leaves, earth, charcuterie and a spicy undercurrent. It’s medium-bodied and silky with intense, spicy fruits, juicy and fresh, with a long, flavorful finish. 6,000 cases were made.

Vivid ruby color. High-pitched red and blue fruit and floral pastille scents pick up hints of toasty oak and minerals with air. Fresh and energetic on the palate, offering concentrated black raspberry and boysenberry flavors and a bracing, refreshingly bitter suggestion of cherry pit. Finishes silky and appealingly sweet, with harmonious tannins, a hint of vanilla and strong, spicy persistence. (aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 30% of them new)
