(Alain Meunier bottled this in late April, a bit after most of his other 2010s, as he thought the tannins called for a longer elevage): Good medium red. Reduced aromas of smoked meat, animal fur and minerals. Good sweet red fruits here, with harmonious acidity framing the silky middle palate. This very ripe but nicely balanced wine finishes with late notes of iron, coffee and cocoa and tannins that are firm but not hard.

Very good dark red. Reduced nose hints at black fruits, roast coffee and oak; lacks a little lift today. Chewy and sweet in the mouth, with a strong component of chocolatey oak giving it a slight heaviness for a 2010. Finishes with substantial tannins and good length. I wanted more energy and definition.
