The 2013 Bourgogne les Pressoniers is turning into a little gem. It has a rounded and generous bouquet with ripe strawberry and raspberry aromas, sensual and very pure. The palate is open, rounded, quite velvety. To describe it as "easy-drinking" is far too pejorative, but it just slips down the throat. This is exactly what generic red Burgundy should be.

The 2013 Bourgogne Cuvée de Pressonnier has an edgy, banana-skin-tinged nose with vibrant red cherry and raspberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with quite pointed tannins, a little brittle in the mouth, but that just lends it nervosité toward the finish. This is worth trading up for from the commendable Bourgogne Rouge.
