Behind the winery, and generally considered a bit too flat to be a premier cru? But when Lumpp dug down to make the cellar, he found limestone rocks so they allowed this isolated parcel right in the middle of the village to be a premier cru. Just a little raw on the nose. The palate needs to calm down a bit. Crunchy fruit and certainly pure and unadorned. Needs time. Ripe enough but the acidity is pretty dominant at the moment. (JR)

The 2019 Givry 1er Cru Le Pied du Clou is excellent, bursting with aromas of raspberries, plums, cherries and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, it's nicely concentrated, with a seamless, elegant profile and a long, perfumed finish.
