Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2005, Pierre Rovani, Feb 1999

Displaying floral and anise aromas, the Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres is broad and powerful, yet feminine. A medium-bodied, velvety-textured, forward wine, it is filled with flavors reminiscent of pears, minerals, apples, and honeysuckle. Drink it over the next 6 years. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; (212) 490-9300.

Similarly leesy complexity on the nose, along with notes of lemon cream and white flowers. Higher-pitched and more floral in the mouth; delicate and lively. A higher-acid, rather backward wine that conveys an impression of great energy. Has the structure and cut for aging.
