Score 88-89/100 · Drink 2019-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2018

The 2017 Thieuley is plump, delicious and quite pretty, all of which make it a good choice for drinking over the near and medium term, while the dark cherry and plum fruit retains its youthful energy. Soft and giving, the 2017 is very nicely balanced, even in the early going.

Deep cherry red. Deliciously spiced dark-red fruit. Silky and light on the mid palate but balanced by sober dark fruit. Richer on the nose than on the palate. But juicy on the finish.
