Bright medium red. Cherry, earth and leather aromas lifted by a floral nuance. Suave, juicy and light on its feet, with modest flesh but good minerality to the flavors of strawberry, cherry, spices and earth. Finishes with light, dusty tannins.

Good medium red. High-toned, aromatic nose shows mint, menthol and some unabsorbed oakiness, along with a whiff of licorice. Then juicy and surprisingly pliant and sweet, with ripe black cherry and licorice flavors nicely framed by substantial but sweet tannins.

Bumptious fruit and scent. Just as a relatively early-drinking red Beaune should be. (JR)
