From vines below the Brochon lycée comes the 2018 Côte de Nuits-Villages, another pretty wine from Boillot that bursts with aromas of cherries, cassis and rich soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, succulent and supple, its juicy core of fruit is framed by fine, powdery tannins.

The 2018 Côtes de Nuits Village has a fragrant bouquet of dark cherries, touches of cassis and subtle floral aromas; there is fine precision here. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and good depth, perhaps missing the complexity of other vintages that I have encountered but displaying decent length.
