The 2016 Syrah Bramasole is another strong wine in this range from La Braccesca. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, licorice, dark chocolate and cloves are front and center. The new French oak remains a bit dominant in this wine, and yet there is enough depth and purity of fruit to largely compensate. This is an especially concentrated, fruity style. It would be nice to see more varietal character, and yet the 2016 is quite delicious just the same.

This is a deep and penetrating wine with loads of dark fruit and ripe blackberry. The 2016 Cortona Syrah Bramasole is large in scope and deep in concentration. There is a point of sweet oak spice on the close. This full-bodied wine is rich and long lasting with tight, beautiful intensity.
