The 2005 Languedoc Marlene N3 Cuvee is a more Grenache dominated blend and gives up lots of meaty, gamey notes intermixed with sweet dark fruits, iodine and leather. Crazily perfumed, it’s medium to full-bodied on the palate, with notable, firm tannin, sweet fruit and a great finish. The tannin will be something to watch here, but I’m pretty bullish here and suspect it will still be going strong in another 5-6 years.
