2018 Morgon Charmes

Burgaud's 2018 Morgon Les Charmes is superb, revealing a lovely bouquet that mingles cassis and dark cherries with smoked meats, dark chocolate and peonies. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, broad and charming, with velvety tannins, succulent acids and a fleshy, layered core, concluding with a long finish. Despite its visceral drinkability, it's also a serious wine that will evolve gracefully for 15 years.
