Serralunga d’Alba. Just mid ruby with orange tinges. Rich cherry and raspberry nose with a dollop of spice. Juicy fruit and with supple acidity, but lacks a little in depth to match the bags of powdery tannins on the finish. Juicy it is, though. (WS)

Pouring a ruby red hue, the 2020 Barolo Gianello is floral and candied with aromas of strawberry preserves, crushed roses, pink peppercorn, incense, and leather. It has a refreshing feel, with ripe tannins, medium body, and evenly balanced acidity. This is a very well styled wine to enjoy over the coming 8-10 years.
