Bright, transparent crimson. Sweet start – I'd say not worth the premium over the Vieilles Vignes. A little bitter on the end. (JR)

The 2023 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers is another of the more structured wines in the range, unwinding in the glass with aromas of blueberries, violets, orange zest and a touch of new oak. Medium-bodied, lively and youthfully firm, its tannins are present but fine-grained.

The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru showed slightly less reduction than the other cuvées, revealing brambly red fruit, loamy scents and just a hint of wild mushroom. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, slightly lactic entry. There's a fine bead of acidity here, sorbet-fresh with marmalade and desiccated orange peel notes toward the finish. This has fine length and should age with style.
