Miles better and juicier than the Bourgogne. Not a bad price and with good energy. Not smart, but this should please – no exaggerations. GV (JR)

The 2023 Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes offers up aromas of sweet cherries and berries framed by a deft touch of new oak, followed by a medium-bodied, fleshy and giving palate that's somewhat reminiscent of the domaine's charming 2017.

The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Villages has a ripe bouquet of kirsch and red cherry fruit, and comes across a little figgy in style. The palate opens sweet, candied and a little lactic, with a dab of dark chocolate and a smooth finish. The warmth of the summer appears to have marked this cuvée, with prune-like elements on the finish. This will be a relatively early-drinking Nuits Saint-Georges from Chevillon.
