The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Mazures is a new lieu-dit bottling from Moreau, derived from a plot right below premier cru Champ Gains defined by faulted limestone and planted with 55-year-old vines. Offering up aromas of pear, yellow apples, white flowers and hazelnuts, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless, with lovely weight and intensity, concluding with a saline finish. Three barrels were produced.

The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Masures has a refined bouquet, fresh and finely delineated with petrichor, wet limestone scents and hints of orchard fruit. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a salty entry, and that oyster shell/marine influence continues toward the end. Enjoy this Chassagne over the next decade.
