Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2027-2048, Neal Martin, Nov 2024

The 2023 Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from two parcels, one in Aloxe-Corton and the other toward Pernand-Vergelesses. It has a touch of beeswax on the nose with good concentration and moderate definition, gaining more intensity as it opens in the glass. The palate is well balanced with fine weight and attractive texture. There is just the right amount of bitterness to lend nerve on the finish. Recommended.
