The 2023 Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru carries a subtle reduction on the flinty nose, quite focused and delineated. The palate is fresh on the entry with green apple and pear, a keen line of acidity and pleasing sapidity coming through on the linear finish. Quite a "correct" Bienvenue, this will require three or four years in bottle.

The 2023 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is powerful and satiny, delivering nots of pear, orange oil, nutmeg, spices and white flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and muscular palate that's rich and textural.

Tank sample. Mid lemon. Apple, lemon, apple blossom and white flowers. Concentrated, almost unctuous on the palate. High, racy acidity, ripe texture and leesy richness. Long length and just a little extra everything. (MH)
