Score 88-90/100 · William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2025

The 2023 Bourgogne Côte d'Or offers up aromas of plums, spices and a deft touch of toasty oak, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and charming palate animated by lively acids and framed by sweet, powdery tannins. As readers will remember, this cuvée corresponds with the bottling formerly known as "La Croix Blanche," and it derives from well-situated parcels in the communes of Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny.

The 2023 Bourgogne Côte d'Or has a lovely, well-defined nose of dark plum and blackcurrant—riper than some of its peers but not overripe. The palate is sweet and candied, perhaps missing a little sharpness and transparency, though it has an attractive pastille-like finish. Fine.
