2016 Nuits St Georges

(just 13 hectoliters per hectare produced owing to the frost; entirely done in tonneaux ): Full medium red. Ripe aromas of black raspberry, dark cherry, clove and mocha are complicated by licorice and mint nuances. Then surprisingly pliant and round in the middle, showing saline soil tones and supple tannins. This wine was made mostly from the contra-bourgeons but Forey eliminated a lot of underripe grapes at the harvest.
