Score 88/100 · Drink 2019-2027, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2017

Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Launay-Horiot's 2014 Pommard 1er Cru Clos Blanc is quite well defined on the nose with clean black and red fruit, the oak neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, good depth and a fine line of acidity with fine cohesion. It is not the most overly complex Pommard, but it is well crafted, nuanced and will give pleasure over the next decade as it appears to be improving in bottle. Tasted September 2017.

Concentrated and without rough edges. Pretty smart stuff. (JR)
