The 2016 Bourgogne Blanc, which contains the surviving berries from the frosted Marsannay Blanc, actually contains 80% Pinot Blanc. It has a fresh and generous, grapefruit and lychee scented bouquet. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity that counters the weight, very Aligoté like middle and Muscat-tinged finish. Fine. Tasted at the Domaine.

The 2016 Bourgogne Blanc has quite a rounded and voluminous bouquet with scents of honeysuckle and sliced pears, later orange zest, almost Muscat-like scents. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, quite spicy (like the Aligoté this year) that makes me think a little of the Rhône. There is good length here. Recommended.
