Score 89/100 · Drink 2006-2016, Daniel Thomases, Wine Advocate, Oct 2003

The 2000 Barbaresco Pajore is a dark garnet, sweet in aroma with suggestions of caramel, plums, and chocolate, deep and intense on the palate and with an attractive tarry minerality. The tannins, however, need some time, and I would suggest drinking it between 2006 and 2016. A Marc de Grazia Selection, various American importers, including Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel. Saturated medium red. Redcurrant, plum and mint on the nose. Spicy and sweet, with a minty nuance and good depth. But a bit unforthcoming in the middle and showing some youthfully aggressive wood tannins today.
