Score 92/100 · Drink 2017-2022, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Jul 2017

The 2013 Alto Adige Blauburgunder Riserva is a beautifully tempered and softly enunciated wine that showcases the delicate and fragrant side of Italian Pinot Nero. You really need the high altitude vineyard sites of the Dolomites to achieve this level of profound finesse and beauty. The wine opens to a dark-garnet color and fragrant wild berry aromas. There is a good amount of power and determination on the close. Drink this wine within the next five years.
