Score 92/100 · Drink 2014-2020, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Oct 2014

Showing the muscle and determination of the vintage, the 2010 Alto Adige Blauburgunder Riserva is a beautifully delicate and defined expression of Pinot Nero with the focus and crispness only seen in cool-climate Northern Italy. It pours from the glass with a luminous garnet appearance and a tightly woven texture that glides smoothly over the palate. The wine imparts forest berry, toasted almond, bramble and blue flower. It sports 14% alcohol that you definitely feel its power against the delicate smoothness of the wine’s consistency.

Freshly cut flowers, mint, crushed rocks and sweet red cherries all burst from the glass as the 2010 Pinot Nero Riserva shows off its winning personality. Beams of bright, salivating acidity keep the flavors fresh in this utterly delicious, medium-bodied Pinot.
