The 2021 Côte de Nuits Villages Vaucrain has a tertiary bouquet of brambly red fruit with a touch of allspice. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet ripe entry. It's quite fleshy for the vintage with a straightforward but satisfying red plum and spicebox finish. Deserves a round of applause. Surely, this will be great value-for-money.

Aromas of cherries, raspberries and licorice introduce the 2021 Côte de Nuits-Villages Le Vaucrain (Domaine Louis Jadot), a medium-bodied, lively and giving wine that's an over-performer in its modest appellation.
