Score 92/100 · Drink 2025-2036, Neal Martin, Oct 2025

The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers Clos St. Marc 1er Cru has a touch of reduction on the nose and fine definition. It opens nicely in the glass, revealing a hidden mineralité . The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, well integrated oak and orange zest mixed with lime towards the finish, conveying a sense of tension. Promising. It develops a sense of tension with aeration. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
