Bright green-tinged yellow. Fresh apricot, white peach and hints of exotic fruits on the nose. Fat, rich and powerful, displaying a slight medicinal aspect and a muscular reserve today in spite of its considerable mid-palate sweetness. Very backward, youthfully aggressive Batard, with a bit of oaky dryness on the back end.

Tense and positively juddering elbows. Not the most assured Grand Cru but made with great ambition and intent. Very racy. Lemon oil. (JR)

Aromas of apricot, peach and crushed stone are lifted by a floral topnote. Brisk and highly concentrated, with powerful stone fruit flavors complicated by sexy floral oils and linden tea. Best today on the building finish, which displays powerful fruit. I would not be surprised if this wine closed up in the bottle. At 13.5% alcohol, this is the richest of these 2009s.
