Very deep crimson still. Rather racy and still muscular. Lots of density and ripeness. Round and a little simple. Certainly not delicate! Bit of a block indeed! (JR)

Bright red-ruby. Raw berries and nutty oak on the nose. Juicy, sweet flavors of raspberry, tobacco and dried herbs, with a hint of raw oak. A bit youthfully reduced but with very good concentration. Seems a bit more energetically extracted than the regular 2002 pinot bottling.
