2019 Keermont Syrah

The 2019 Syrah is a blend of three parcels and includes just over 7% Mourvèdre. It contains 15% whole bunch and underwent wild fermentation, followed by aging in 500-liter barrels for 11 months. This has a touch of reduction on the nose, opening with raspberry and redcurrant fruit and becoming quite plummy with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a detailed opening. It’s a little granular in texture, with white pepper and a hint of clove emerging toward the composed and persistent finish. Excellent.
